To become the optimal picture quality, the tree should be nearly 16-17 ft. away from the place to be monitored, with the camera placed at a superlative of 2.v-
iii.5 ft. Also, keep in mind that you volition become the best results at dark when the
bailiwick is inside the platonic flash range, no further than 40 ft. and no closer than 10 ft. from the photographic camera.

At that place are two ways to mountain the Tasco Trail Photographic camera: using the provided adjustable spider web belt, or the tripod socket.

Using the adaptable web belt: Push one finish of the belt through the ii brackets on the back of the Tasco Trail Photographic camera (Fig. 12). Thread the finish of the strap through the buckle. Spike the belt securely around the tree trunk by
pulling the end of the strap firmly so there is no slack left.

Note: information technology is not possible to utilize a cable lock (in the upper part of the bracket) and the web belt at the aforementioned time.

Using the tripod socket: The photographic camera is equipped with a socket at the bottom cease to enable mounting on a tripod or other mounting accessories that use a standard1/iv-20 thread.

Sensing Angle and Distance Test

To test whether the Tasco Trail Camera tin can effectively monitor the expanse you choose, this test is recommended to check the sensing angle and monitoring distance of the Tasco Trail Camera. To perform the test:

  • Switch the camera'south Power Switch to AIM. You can ignore the Setup display, no need to change whatsoever settings (provided you already gear up the time/date and other Setup Mode options in accelerate).
  • Make movements in front of the camera at several positions within the area where you lot expect the game or subjects to be. Try different distances and angles from the photographic camera.
  • If the AIM/Status LED (Fig. 1) blinks, information technology indicates that position tin be sensed. If information technology does not glimmer, that position is exterior of the sensing expanse.

The results of your testing will help you find the best placement when mounting and aiming the Tasco Trail Camera. The vertical acme away from the basis for placing the device should vary with the animal size appropriately. In general, 3 to vi feet is preferred.

Yous tin avoid potential simulated triggers due to temperature and move disturbances in front of the camera past not aiming it at a rut source or nearby tree branches and brush (especially on windy days).

Switching ON the Camera

One time yous movement the Power Switch to ON, the AIM/Status LED volition blink for several seconds. This gives you lot time to shut and lock the front encompass of the Tasco Trail Camera and then walk abroad. During this time, the AIM/Status LED will blink
continuously.

After it stops blinking, the PIR sensor is active, and whatsoever move that is detected past it will trigger the capture of photos or videos as programmed in Setup Style. Be certain you have read the photographic camera Setup Style department. Delight note, the PIR is strongly sensitive to ambience temperature. The greater the temperature divergence between the surround and your subject, the further the possible sensing distance.

Before leaving the camera unattended, delight bank check for the following:

  • Are the batteries inserted with correct polarity and is their ability level sufficient?
  • Does the SD carte have sufficient available infinite and is its write-protection (lock) switch off?
  • Is the Power switch in the ON position? (do non leave it set to AIM).

Each new image or video will be numbered incrementally in club of the time it was captured. For instance, you will meet file names such as "00000001.JPG" or "00000001.AVI". Through the file format suffix you tin distinguish whether the file is a still photo (with suffix .jpg) or a video (with suffix .avi).

Your computer should have the option of allowing you to view the files equally preview images instead of file names/types (Windows: More Options>Small to Large Icons, Mac: View>as Icons). Double clicking whatsoever individual file volition let you view the photo or video total screen within whatever awarding is associated with that file format.

Select any/all files y'all want to backup and elevate or copy/paste them to your computer's hard drive wherever you lot normally keep photos and videos. You lot may desire to create a new binder named "Tasco Trail Cam" or some other specific championship to keep them separate from family photos, etc. One time the card'south files accept been backed
